I stand by my previous comment. Child abuse/molestation is rampant in all walks of life.
The WTBTS doesn't hide molesters/abusers anymore than any other type of organization does. Parents/guardians/families have to accept/take resposibility for their young.

What happened to your little brother is absolutely horrible. Child molestation/abuse seems to be rampant in everywhere these days.
I am thankful, though, for all the exposure this problems is getting lately; perhaps the WTBTS will take better measures to avoid this from happening in the future. Also, families in general, and this applies to all walks of life, have to accept/take more responsibility for their young ones.
i have been in a number of different congregations over the years, and i have to say that the level of conversation i had with my fellow believers, with a few exceptions, was rather poor.. here are some 'opening' comments.. 1) nice to see you at the meeting.

can you imagine going to a company meeting and saying to your fellow worker, 'nice to see you at the meeting'?.
Agree. Extremely clicky; with the click I/we can talk about anything, lately we talk about our baseball games going on, or the Spanish soaps some of us watch, sitcoms, or our next entertainment activity.
Can't relate to talking about anything spiritual while at the meetings. We just have normal conversation about everyday life, and we joke around quite a bit too at the KH; the other stuff is boring and we're sick of hearing about it in all the various meetings.

I recall this elder that always quoted old publications in all his talks 'til one day I got up the nerve to tell him that those publications also contained outdated and wrong information, 'old light' I said, as we saw things in the present time. Jokingly I told him to update his mental library and keep up with the evolution of the Organization.
He didn't like my observation, but I was ultimately right. So, from that time on I noticed he didn't quote from old publications as much anymore. However, he took a dislike to me that lasts until this very day.
I was right, though.

Why is it that you all can dish it out, but can't take it?!
What I offer is a different, but very real perspective for many JWs still inside the Org. Now, yes, wisen up and accept this existing side of the story already!
let's do some speculative thinking about the watchtower's future!.
suppose some holes are legally poked thru the watchtower's actions on disfellowshipping,.
whether in the us or other countries.
I could see this practice of disfellowshipping/shunning being modified real soon.
This day and age won't stand for that behavior much longer, plus in this lawsuit-happy society there's much liability for the WT implicated in this practice.
Can't hardly wait for the 'New Light' on this regard!!!

It's just a religion, just a religion, made up of imperfect human beings and ever evolving, just like all things in life.
So they claim they're the chosen ones; well, so do many others! Don't you all worry, we'll go forward and the powers that be will decide in the end what's right and what's not.

Now fast-forward to this day and age please. Everything in life evolves! Haven't you all caught on to that yet?!
Will you all stop using today's awesome technology in all aspects of life (radio, TV, communications, flight, etc., etc., etc.,) just because those things had obscure beginnings? Come now!
The past is plenty obscure, and so it is with everything in life. Move on!
i am seriously considering staying in school and going for my master's and maybe my doctorate.
its always been a dream of mine to have a doctorate degree.
